Our client had installed Indian green marble throughout her home several years previously. As such a statement stone, she was keen to ensure that it remained as beautiful as the ay it was installed. After contacting CG Marble who had supplied the stone, they recommended Athena Stonecare to restore the stone throughout.
Using a series of diamond abrasives the floors, sinks, vanities and worktops were resurfaced to to remove surface scratches and etch marks. They were then refinished to a velvet/satin hone and apply 4 coats of colour enhancing impregnating sealant.
Part of the process of restoring any stone includes discussing options for the finish which ranges from honed to highly polished. The finish chosen for this Indian marble enabled the intricacies of the stone to shine through in a very subtle way. For this sort of stone, a high polish would reflect the light in a way that would almost dull some of the stunning impact of this marble.
I had a double sink marble surround which was in really bad shape, Athena Stonecare got it back to practically new. I’d had a few different companies give me quotes and these guys were the most professional and competitive on their price. Really pleased.
