September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and we are launching our latest fundraising initiative in support of William’s Fund.
William’s Fund was founded by Johanna Dodd following the death of her son William, aged just 2 years old when he was diagnosed with cancer. Throughout the two years of surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy that William underwent, it became apparent that childhood cancer was poorly understood. So, Johanna made it her mission to fund vitally needed research to understand better how cancer develops in children. Working closely with the team in Oxford, the vision of William’s Fund is to find more suitable treatments that are specific to childhood cancer.
William’s Fund is completely volunteer-led and over the last 20 years they have raised over £1m! And they are showing no signs of stopping there. The research going from strength to strength and they need our support now more than ever before.
As a local business, we are committed to supporting local charities. The last few months have been difficult for everyone and we want to make sure that vital research like this does not go underfunded.
That is why, throughout September and October we are going to donate £5 for every quote to William’s Fund. For our clients, quotes will remain completely free, but we will contribute £5 to this amazing cause. So if your floor is in need of a bit of TLC then there has never been a better time to get in touch.
